William Monroe Shephard, ?5, [could be 45, 75, 95 can't read] of Whitsett, Route No. 1, died at his home April 15 at 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon following an illness of four weeks. He was the husband of the late Ollie Ingle Shephard and a native of Marion county, Ind. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rankin Shephard. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Brick Church at 3:00 o'clock, with interment being made in the church cemetery. Rev. C. E. Hiatt, pastor, presided.
He was survived by two sisters: Miss Elizabeth Shephard of Whitsett, Route No. 1; Miss Emma Shephard, of Whitsett, Route No. 1, and one nephew, Mitchell Shephard, also of Whitsett. He was buried on 16 April 1937 in Brick Church Cemetery, Guilford Co., NC.⁸²⁰
