Daniel came with his parents to Sullivan Co., TN. then to Knox Co., TN. and when adult age moved to Anderson Co., TN. His second wife was named Catherine.

Daniel Nathaniel FOUST and Sara Jane HUMPHREYS were married in Knox Co., TN.¹⁸⁷ Sara Jane HUMPHREYS was born on 22 November 1790.¹⁸⁷ She died on 20 January 1834 at the age of 43 in Anderson Co., TN.¹⁸⁷ Sept. 27, 1834 the Governor of Coahuila and Texas gave a Spanish Grant, #31 of 4428 acres of land in Jefferson Co., TX. to William Humphreys and Pelham Humphreys, and recorded in their name in Jefferson Co., TX. December 26, 1860. It was known as the William and Pelham Survey, recorded as such in the deed records of Jefferson Co., TX. August 9, 1933 a Citation was issued to heirs of William and Pelham Humphreys, who died intestate, thereby making their sister Mary Humphreys Foust the legal heir to said estate. Petition was stricken from the court docket for lack of a hearing date set by attorneys and plaintiffs.
