39. Anna Maria CLAPP was born in 1747 in PA. She died in Knox Co., TN.

Anna Maria CLAPP and John FOUST Jr. were married in 1765 in Orange Co., NC. See page 251,ACB Families, married in Orange Co., NC ( Now Alamance Co., NC) emigrated from NC to TN in 1788. All their children except Judith went with them. Judith had married Barney Clapp, Jr. and stayed in NC. John FOUST Jr., son of Johannes Heinrich FOUST and Anna Barbara ALBRIGHT, was born on 26 March 1744 in Bern Twp., Berks Co., PA.38 He died in 1818 at the age of 74 in Knox Co., TN.38 Moved with his parents to Orange Co., NC in 1764. His Children were baptized at the "Brick Church" near Whitsett, NC. Soon after the Revolutionary War (1788) he moved to what is now Sullivan Co., TN. His brother Philip going at the same time. This area was in the early days a part of Virginia, then the State of Franklin; in 1796 it was declared a separate state and named Tennessee. He bought the David Adair plantation comprising 200 acres and lived there until the later part of the century; he then moved farther west to the county of Knox. In 1801 he bought 135 acres on Flat Creek, a few miles north of the town of Knoxville. He, his sons, and son-in-laws continued acquiring land in this are until they became owners of a vast amount of land along what is known as the Washington Pike. They attended the Methodist and Presbyterian Churches of the area.
