He died on 14 August 1918 at the age of 60 in Colorado Co., TX. Columbus, Texas, Aug. 16.--E. A. Clapp, 61 years old, died at his residence southwest of town Wednesday and was buried Thursday, Rev. J. B. Marshall of the Baptist Church, Rev. C. P. Morgan of the Methodist Church and the Woodmen of the World conducting the funeral services.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie Warner Clapp and two children, Mrs. Ernest Obenhaus of Oak Grove and Willie Clapp, living at the home.
Mr. Clapp was born and died not only in the same home but in the same room, and during his life had never lived elsewhere. [Interred in Pleasant Grove Cemetery]
