184. John George FOUST¹⁷¹ was born on 30 November 1775 in Orange Co., NC.¹³¹ He signed a will on 21 August 1845 in Knox Co., TN.¹⁷² He died in January 1848 at the age of 72 in Knox Co., TN.¹³¹ Will proven for name at place on date. Estate Book 10, pages 113-180
Baptized at Brick Church, Guilford Co., NC. George was a resident of Knox Co., TN after moving there with his parents ca 1800. He was a farmer of considerable acreage in the northeastern part of the county, a few miles from Knoxville, TN. Children named in will - see page 80 Mozette Foust book.

John George FOUST and Philipena "Penia" SWING were married on 26 August 1804 in Guilford Co., NC.¹³¹ Married in the Brick Church, Henry Diefenbach, M. G. George had a large farm near Knoxville, TN. His will was probated Feb 1849, Knoxville, TN. Philipena "Penia" SWING, daughter of John Mathais SWING and Mary Barbara CLAPP, was born about 1779 in NC.
