Well-Known Attorney Dies In Lafollette
Joe M. Agee, 74, widely known in Anderson County, died Saturday night in Lafollette where he made his home. Agee was at one time assistant attorney general serving Anderson, Campbell, Fentress, Claiborne, Scott and Morgan Counties.He was a first cousin to the late James Agee of Knoxville, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his book " A Death In the Family". Services were held Monday afternoon at Lafollette Methodist Church of which he was a member.Agee leaves his wife, Mrs. Ethel Agee, and a brother, John H. Agee, both of Lafollette.
