52. George HUNT35 was born on 9 April 1759 in Rowan Co., NC.9 Very likely a twin of Mary Hunt according to Mitchell J. Hunt. He died in 1833 in KY.36 According to family legend, he once accompanied his father on a visit to the old hometown of Hopewell, NJ and chose to settle there rather than back on the NC Frontier. With the assistance of his older cousin Abraham Hunt, a prominent merchant of Trenton, he was able to find employment and later started his own mercantile establishment between Trenton and Hopewell. His father came to NJ to get him and brought him back by way of Pittsburgh where they floated down the Ohio River on a flatboat to Maysville, KY. On 27 Oct 1807 he is shown to have appraised the estate of Levi Todd of Lexington, KY and is found in the 1820 census of Lexington, KY.

George HUNT and Catherine DRUMMOND were married about 1793 in NJ.36 Catherine DRUMMOND died on 8 December 1794 in Hopewell, Hunterdon Co., NJ.
