146. Gavin Drummond HUNT Sr.⁷³ was born on 2 December 1794 in NJ.^74,75 He died on 1 March 1889 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY.⁷⁴ Buried in the Lexington Cemetery. This family was sadly split by the Civil War; sons George and Albert (Allie) fought on the Confederate side while sons Philomen and Gavin, Jr., fought on the Union side. Gavin was killed at the Battle of Missionary Ridge and Philomen was wounded at Chicamauga.

Gavin Drummond HUNT Sr. and Mary Katherine BURGESS were married in 1833 in KY.⁷⁴ Mary Katherine BURGESS was born in 1811.⁷⁴ She died on 27 January 1843 in Lexington, Fayette Co., KY.⁷⁴

George Warfield HUNT⁷⁴ was born on 11 July 1834.⁷⁴ He died on 22 November 1912.⁷⁴ George fought on the Confederate side. For a while after the Civil War, George and his brother Philomen, reunited as a family, were Indian Agents at Wichita, KS and in 1886 they went to Young, Texas where George managed their ranch and Philomen was an IRS agent, US Marshal and perhaps a lawyer. Further on George has not been found but a gravestone for him is found in the Lexington, KY Cemetery among his parents and other siblings.

Gavin Drummond HUNT Jr. was born on 24 April 1842 in Fayette Co., KY.⁷⁴ He died on 29 November 1863 in Missionary Ridge.⁷⁴ Killed at Battle of Missionary Ridge in the Civil War. There is a memorial marker with his parents in the Cemetery at Lexington, KY.
