He was a farmer and stockman. After they were married they operated his father-in-law's (Edgar McLean) farm near Riverdale. Later, they moved adjacent to Albert's farm near Highlandville, onto the Jeff Pigg farm. Then moving to Selmore, he helped Edgar McLean operate a country store until the store was traded for a farm west of Selmore in 1931. Clell was very active in the Selmore Baptist Church. He served as teacher, choir leader, and ordained deacon. When Clell died in 1935, Irene operated the farm until moving to Ozark, MO in 1951. She worked in the Ozark school cafeteria 25 years. Willie Irene MCLEAN, daughter of Edgar Franklin MCLEAN and Ola Belle BROWN, was born on 8 November 1903 in MO.¹⁸⁵⁶ She died in June 1986 at the age of 82 in Ozark, Finley Twp., Christian Co., MO.⁸⁵⁷ She was buried in June 1986 in Selmore Cemetery, Finley Twp., Christian Co., MO.¹⁸⁵⁶
