He was buried in April 1883 in Rocky Dale Cemetery, Corryton, TN.^47,114 Dennis N. Gore , 6912 East Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37918 - has death date of Andrew 1883 (check source) Birth date is from an 1813 Cassiday bible in the McClung Collection in Knoxville. His wife Emaline was listed as a widow in 1880 living with her son Gordon. Rocky Dale Cemetery list has death of 5 april 1888. I believe all of these are wrong.

William Alexander CASSADY⁵⁰ was born on 29 August 1831 in Knox Co., TN.^47,50,117 He appeared in the census in 1900 in District 5, Union Co., TN. Living with his son, George, in 1900;

He died on 2 March 1902 at the age of 70 in TN.⁵⁰ Buried in the Rocky Dale Cemetery. William was buried in March 1902 in Rocky Dale Cemetery, Corryton, TN.⁴⁷ Alexander fought with the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted into the Third Tennessee Infantry Company B., on 12 February 1862 at Flat Lick, Kentucky. He was made an ambulance wagon driver in January of 1864. While driving a mule team on a march from Carthage to Alexander, TN, Alexander was thrown from the team and hurt his back. L. D. Bates witnessed that "a budget, (another word for a sack of some food store), fell out of the front of the wagon on to the mule and caused the scare - claimant was thrown from the mule - he was the driver, and he was hurt and crippled up in his back and disabled from duty". He was mustered out at Nashville, TN on 23 February 1865.

He owned and sold land to Calvin Clapp in 1873 in Union Co., TN. In 1900 George was an a blacksmith in Union Co., TN. He died on 26 July 1906 at the age of 72 in Union Co., TN.^107,118 He was buried in July 1906 in Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Union Co., TN.^47,107 George fought with the Union Army during the Civil War. He enlisted into the First Tennessee Infantry Company B at Maynardsville, TN on 1 Aug 1861. He was made a wagon driver for the company. He was mustered out of service on 17 Sep 1864 at Nashville, TN. G.W. Cassady was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, Graveston Post #57, Knox Co., TN, organized 6 Jan 1887.
